Book Review---- Shadow of the Bear

I really like the book: Shadow of the Bear by Regina Doman

I like how it is based on the fairy tale Snow White and Rose Red.

Mr Freet is like the dwarf, both which are the bad guys. Bear and Fish, who seem to be bad guy characters are actually the good guys like the prince and his brother.
Rose and Blanch are obviously Snow White and Rose Red who are the heroines in the stories

This is what I like about each of the charcters-
BEAR: Kind, Friendly, helpful, Nice, and the kind of person you would like to met!

FIS: Friendly, reserved, protective, helpful and kind.

BLANCH: Kind, nice, shy but friendly when you get to know her better.

ROSE: Straight forward, not shy, friendly and helpful. Not afraid to give her opinion.

If you haven't read this book I would recommend it.

A Damsel's Daybook

I have decided to join this each week.
Our lovely Hostess is none other than, my sister Autumn, from Storygirl. Why not join with us each week ??

Outside my window....... It is a dark cold and rainy night.

I am thinking about........ All the things I want to do and make.

From the kitchen..........Fish and chips for dinner.

I am creating ......... A song, skirts for my sisters and a story.

I am reading......... nothing at the moment [in other words I have not got my assigned reading to finish for School].

I am hearing......... My little brother not wanting to get dressed, my sitter on the other computer.

I am hoping......... That we sell the house soon.

I am planning.......... That I finish my school work this week, and start my Christmas presents.

I am wearing............ Pajamas, hair tied back with a ribbon.

Around the house.......... We had a busy weekend and had to stay inside because of the rain.

My wish of the week ......... That we lived in Wangaratta already.

Why I like Redwall !!!

I like how Brian Jacques writes about the Abbey of Redwall. I like how the characters are mice, moles, squirrels, hedgehogs, otters and badgers.

I really enjoy that the stoats, weasels and rats
are the bad guys and try to conquer Redwell.
I like the fact that there is always a warrior to defend Redwall.
I have only just found a redwall book that I haven't read.
This is called Doomwyte and I have now read it from the library.

I have allways LOVED the Redwall books .
Last year that I finished all the Redwall books that we own. I have read these at least 3 times and some more than that.

My favorite animals are probably the Badges and Shrews.
The Badges are so peaceful [except when Rat's and staff come] and the Shrews are always fighting and squabbling.

MY FAVOURITE HERO"S...........

I like Rakkety Tam, Mariel, Martin the Warrior, Triss , Lord Brocktree the most and lots of the others as well.

THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLE BOOKS..

I like the spiderwick books and the movie.
Our Mother read the books to us last year fir read alouds at night. We read one chapter every night, it was torture for me.
But, sometimes Mum read us two or more chapters.

The Troll, and Mulgarath the ogre were a tad freaky. Like imagine a Troll giving you a chance to run by covering it's eye's and sayng, "I cover my eyes and count to ten".
But the troll has some gaps between his eyes.
That would be DREADFUL.

And Mulgarathe the ogre can change into what ever he wanted. So, say he changed into a boy or girl and he looked like you and got you into trouble that would be-- BAD.
Then a castle in the junkyard and a moat made out of glass that would be so DANGEROUS.

Now we are going to do a unit study on the Spiderwick chronicles starting next week.

Now Daddy is reading the books. That just works in perfectly.
